Why same-day matters
Every week you wait for an ADHD evaluation is another week of missed deadlines, strained relationships, and mornings that feel harder than they should. Traditional clinics schedule weeks out. Referral chains drag on for months. Meanwhile, your symptoms don't pause.
ADHD One eliminates the wait. We offer same-day evaluations for children, teens, and adults because timely care produces better outcomes. Research consistently shows that earlier intervention leads to improved academic performance, better occupational functioning, and stronger relationships.
Same-day doesn't mean rushed. It means we've built our entire workflow around removing the delays that have nothing to do with clinical quality.
How it works
Quick Intake
Complete a secure online form covering your symptoms, history, and goals.
Live Evaluation
Meet with a licensed clinician via video for a thorough, structured assessment.
Your Treatment Plan
Walk away with a clear diagnosis and actionable next steps the same day.
Our clinicians use validated screening tools including the Conners' Rating Scales, structured clinical interviews, and DSM-5 criteria. We screen for comorbidities like anxiety and depression to ensure your diagnosis reflects the full picture, not just the surface symptoms.
What happens during your appointment
A same-day appointment at ADHD One is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, not a five-minute checklist. Your provider will walk through your symptom history, daily challenges at work or school, sleep patterns, and how ADHD may be showing up in your relationships.
By the end of your visit, you'll have a clear answer. If ADHD is confirmed, your clinician will discuss treatment options on the spot. That might include medication (stimulant or non-stimulant), behavioral strategies, or a combination. If a prescription is clinically appropriate, it can be sent electronically the same day.
If your evaluation suggests something other than ADHD, or a co-occurring condition that needs attention first, we'll explain exactly what we found and recommend the right next step.
Who qualifies
Same-day evaluations are available for anyone aged 5 and up who is located in a state where ADHD One operates. Whether you've never been evaluated, suspect your child is struggling, or already have a diagnosis but need a fresh assessment, you're eligible.
Common reasons patients book same-day appointments:
- New symptoms or first-time concerns about ADHD
- Existing diagnosis but current treatment isn't working
- School or employer requesting documentation
- Medication lapsed and symptoms returned
- Previously misdiagnosed with anxiety or depression
Certain complex cases, such as patients with active substance use concerns or multiple psychiatric comorbidities, may require a follow-up visit to finalize a treatment plan. Your provider will tell you upfront.
After your evaluation
Diagnosis is only the starting point. ADHD One provides ongoing medication management with regular check-ins to monitor how treatment is working. If your first medication doesn't fit, we adjust. If your dose needs fine-tuning, we handle it.
Need to understand how same-day prescriptions work? Or curious about managing ongoing refills? We've built the entire system around continuity, not one-off visits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does same-day mean you rush through the check-up?
No. Every patient receives the same full assessment regardless of scheduling speed. Same-day refers to appointment availability, not check-up quality. Our providers follow established diagnostic protocols including DSM-5 criteria, proven screening tools, and structured interviews.
Can I get medication prescribed during a same-day visit?
If your provider confirms an ADHD diagnosis and determines that medication is right, a prescription can be sent electronically to your pharmacy the same day. Both stimulant and non-stimulant options are available based on your clinical profile.
Do you evaluate children for ADHD?
Yes. We evaluate patients aged 5 and up. For children, we may involve parent or caregiver input as part of the assessment process to build a complete clinical picture.
Is a same-day ADHD appointment covered by insurance?
We work with major insurance carriers and also offer transparent self-pay rates. Coverage varies by plan and state. Our team can help you confirm your benefits before your visit.
What if it turns out I don't have ADHD?
Our check-up screens for ADHD as well as commonly overlapping conditions like anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. If ADHD isn't the right diagnosis, we'll explain what we found and recommend right next steps. You won't leave without a clear direction.
