Reno's seasonal rhythms -- ski season, summer tourism, event weekends -- make it easy to blame your schedule instead of your brain.

Your Schedule Changes Every Season. Your Brain Doesn't.

Reno isn't a 9-to-5 town. Your life probably looks different in January than it does in July.

Maybe you work the ski resorts in winter and switch to construction or events in summer. Maybe you bartend during Hot August Nights and pick up warehouse shifts in the off-season. Maybe you're a gig worker who patches together three jobs that change every few months.

When your routine changes that often, you blame the chaos on the schedule. "Of course I'm scattered -- I just switched jobs again."

But what if the chaos follows you everywhere? What if it's not the job -- it's your brain?

ADHD Thrives in Chaos (and That's the Trap)

Here's the weird thing about ADHD. It actually does well in unpredictable environments -- at least for a while.

New job? Exciting. Your brain locks in. Fast-paced restaurant shift? Thrilling. You're in the zone. Weekend event with a million moving parts? You crush it.

But the boring stuff? Paying bills. Scheduling a dentist appointment. Returning that package. Sitting down to do your taxes. That's where everything breaks.

If you're great at high-energy work but fall apart during quiet downtime, that contrast is a major clue.

Signs It's More Than a Busy Life

Everyone in Reno has a lot going on. So how do you know if it's ADHD?

Think about it this way: Does the disorganization follow you from job to job? Did it happen in school too? Do you hyperfocus on things you love but can't get through 10 minutes of something boring? Do you lose track of time so badly that you're late to almost everything?

If this sounds like your whole life -- not just this month -- a screening can give you a starting point.

How ADHD One Works

We built this for people with unpredictable lives. No office visits. No rigid scheduling. No bureaucracy.

Step 1: Reach out. Call (855) 468-2343 or fill out the form on this page.

Step 2: Get evaluated. A licensed psychiatric provider meets with you by video. They ask about your history -- not just work, but school, relationships, and the patterns you keep running into. Here's what the full treatment process looks like step by step.

Step 3: Start treatment. If ADHD is the diagnosis, your provider helps you pick the right approach. There are more medication choices than you probably realize -- including options that last all day without the crash.

A lot of patients get their first appointment in days, sometimes the same day.

Flexible Enough for Your Life

We know Tuesdays at 2 PM doesn't work for everyone. Our appointments happen by video, and we work around your schedule -- not the other way around.

Got 30 minutes between shifts? That's enough for a follow-up. Parked at Tahoe before your morning run? That works too.

Refills are just as easy. Quick check-ins keep your prescription current. No playing phone tag with a front desk.

Not Just Seasonal Workers

This article talks a lot about shift work and seasonal jobs because that's a big part of Reno. But ADHD hits everyone.

If you're a UNR student who can't study no matter how hard you try, we can help. If you're a remote worker in Midtown who stares at Slack all day and gets nothing done, we can help. If you're a parent in Spanish Springs drowning in forgotten permission slips and missed appointments, we can help.

ADHD doesn't care what you do for a living. It just makes everything harder than it needs to be.

Stop Blaming the Schedule. Start Getting Answers.

You've been telling yourself it'll get better when things calm down. But things never calm down -- because the problem isn't your schedule. It's how your brain handles everything on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I schedule appointments around my work shifts?

Yes. We offer flexible scheduling including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Everything is by video, so you can do it from wherever you are. No need to take time off work.

I don't have a regular doctor. Can I still be seen?

Yes. You don't need a primary care doctor or a referral. You can reach out to us directly and we'll schedule your check-up.

How fast can I be seen in Reno?

Most patients are seen within a few days. Some same-day openings are available. Call (855) 468-2343 to check.

What if I move or change jobs often?

As long as you're in a state where we operate, your care continues without interruption. Since everything is by video, it doesn't matter where in Nevada you live or how often you move.

Do you treat adults who were never diagnosed as kids?

Absolutely. Most of our patients are adults getting evaluated for the first time. ADHD doesn't appear in adulthood -- it's been there all along. But many people don't recognize it until life gets complicated enough that their coping strategies stop working.
